Check It Out was quick to begin. Dr. Leoni and Another Story were slow to begin.

It was noted that the muzzle of Stalking Douglas became dislodged shortly after the start of the event.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding the racing manners of Dr. Leoni turning off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Gill, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Cash For Kota was quick to begin.

Big Jim – Late scratching at 08:59 when Ms. Christine Sheilds reported the greyhound to have a toe injry (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted. 

Bandari was quick to begin. Unacceptable Pen was slow to begin.

A post-race sample was taken from Paw Cheyenne - the winner of the event.

Ruapuke Rocks was slow to begin. 

Myall Sandy underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have right hind torn nail. No stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Brooklyn was quick to begin.

High Emotion crossed out soon after the start and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left fore toe injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Kellie Morrison regarding the racing manners of High Emotion soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Ms. Morrison, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

Spirit World was slow to begin. 

Lindenow Patch and Bluey La La were slow to begin.

Collinda Rise was quick to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Take The Edge.

Bandie Bullet was quick to begin.

Smooth Collinda checked of Major Mike on the first turn causing Smooth Collinda, Dishy Di and Acid Test to fall. These greyhounds underwent post–race veterinary examinations:

-Smooth Collinda was reported to have no apparent injury.

-Dishy Di was found to have eye abrasions and right fore spike wounds. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

-Acid Test was found to have left fore and hind abrasions. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Take The Edge turn its head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Donna Dean regarding Take The Edge's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Take The Edge was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Dean pled guilty to the charge, Take The Edge was suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Free Falling was slow to begin. 

Rumour Not Fact visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12. Rumour Not Fact was found to have a left hock sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Greame Beattie regarding Rumour Not Fact’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Rumour Not Fact was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Beattie pled guilty to the charge, Rumour Not Fact was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Southern Law underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen, no apparent injury was reported.

A pre-race sample was taken from Smokin' Zag.

He's No Slouch was slow to begin.

My Neo performed below market expectations and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Neocleous regarding My Neo's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Nercleous to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of My Neo in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
